We were thrilled to be invited to host Yorkshire Tea as they unveiled their new Cherry Bakewell Brew tea recently. Much excitement ensued as we welcomed the team from Yorkshire Tea, the UK’s #1 brew, along with Great British Bake Off’s charismatic star Liam Charles to our iconic Old Original Bakewell Pudding Shop to launch their latest innovation.

Our shop was transformed into a visual delight of bright pink boxes, complemented by eye-catching displays of puddings and tarts in the windows and on the shelves. These elements perfectly captured the essence of this new tea, which uses natural flavours to give it an almondy, jammy taste just like a Bakewell pudding. Visitors had the opportunity to sample the new brew and share their feedback with the Yorkshire Tea team.

We were joined by a lively group of merchandisers, a dynamic film crew and several influencers. The Bakewell Pudding Shop has recently undergone an extensive refurbishment, transforming the shop while preserving its historical charm and original features. This provided the perfect opportunity to showcase the shop during the 24-hour takeover.

Liam was seen behind the counter and around town, adding fun and intrigue to this extraordinary event. He spent the day filming behind the counter and engaging with members of the public through various games.

One of the highlights was the game called “Put the Bakewell in the Brew,” where contestants attempted to throw a small Cherry Bakewell into an empty Yorkshire Tea mug. This activity generated a lot of excitement and enthusiasm among the crowd! Also spotted around the town were the Yorkshire team handing out sample packs and Yorkshire Tea’s iconic Little Urn tea truck, which spent the day in the sun next to the River Wye.

This has been a fantastic collaboration between two iconic brands and we have enjoyed every minute.
