“BEST PUB IN THE COUNTY”
at the National Pub and Bard Awards 2025
These are incredibly exciting times for us all at our newly established Beagrie Group, a privately owned and family-run organisation renowned for its ownership of The Old Original Bakewell Pudding Shop and the charming Bakewell Bakery, both located in the picturesque town of Bakewell.
Just last night, The Prince of Wales in Baslow received the prestigious "County Winner" title at The National Pub and Bar Awards held in London. This is the first time we have entered these prestigious awards and the moment was filled with pride as our team celebrated this honour together.
This remarkable achievement highlights the diverse and vibrant hospitality scene in our beautiful county of Derbyshire. The evening brought together some of the nation's finest operators in a spirit of camaraderie to celebrate their accomplishments and champion our industry. We are incredibly proud of everyone at The Prince of Wales, Baslow. Their hard work, strength, and commitment have led to our success in winning this outstanding award for our county.
Adding to our excitement, we are overjoyed to share that two of our exceptional pubs, The Bulls Head in the quaint village of Foolow and The Prince of Wales in the charming village of Baslow, have recently been shortlisted in the prestigious Derbyshire Dines awards. It is an amazing achievement for us and our staff, not to mention a massive morale booster to all within our establishments.
We proudly manage a diverse portfolio of nine locations, which includes five inviting pubs, a delightful staycation business, an array of shops, and premium retail outlets, all nestled within the stunning landscapes of Derbyshire’s Peak District.
Our customers are the focus of everything we do. We are fortunate to have a dedicated and talented team of professionals who come to work each day to deliver exceptional service to our visitors, whether they come from nearby or far away.
The Prince of Wales has continued to flourish, retaining its 2 AA Rosettes for 2025 and being featured in the prestigious Good Food Guide 2025, which is another testament to our amazing, hard-working team.
